‘MAGNUM FOLLOW DI ARROW’ EIGHT YEARS OF QUALITY

When ‘Follow Di Arrow’ began at Mango Valley St Mary in 1999, promoter Dexton Ennis had no idea it would one day become one of the most anticipated events in Eastern Jamaica. The show emerged out of a need to provide top class entertainment to the North Eastern section of Jamaica but has now grown to the level where it even attracts a large overseas contingent yearly. Magnum Follow Di Arrow’, which borrowed its name from a song of a similar title by Bounty Killa, has for many years been able to attract the best of what Jamaica’s entertainment industry of the past and present has to offer.

It was in 2004 Magnum Tonic Wine saw the opportunity to collaborate with Dexton Ennis and fulfil the brand’s vision of bringing authentic grassroots entertainment to a national audience. Previously held at Mango Valley, the partnership wiith Magnum enabled ‘Follow Di Arrow’ to grown to the level where it had to be moved to a bigger and better location at James Bond Beach in 2006.

With an endorsement from Magnum Tonic Wine, ‘Magnum Follow DI Arrow’ has been energised and continues to provide quality top class entertainment to the masses. ‘Magnum Follow Di Arrow’ for this year will feature performances from as a slew of proven veterans and current stars. This year’s show will be held at James Bond Beach in St Mary on March 1 and boasts one of its best line-ups in its eight year history.

Headlining 2008’s ‘Magnum Follow Di Arrow’ will be the Alliance Crew headed by the Grung Gad Bounty Killa and supported by Mr Gully Side Mavado, Wayne Marshall, Busy Singal, Bling Dawg, and Bad Boy recording artiste Elephant Man. The show will also feature Assassin who is riding high with the recent release of his ‘Gully Sittin Album, Ninja Man, Mr Vegas, Bugle, Warrior King, Macka Diamond, Anthony B and the ever tempting Lady Saw.

This years Magnum Follow Di Arrow will also feature a special segment dubbed ‘Touch of Magic’, this segment is dedicated to the veterans of dancehall. ‘Touch of Magic’ will feature Josey Wales, Professor Nuts, General Trees and Terror Fabulous among others. There are over 30 performances scheduled for ‘Magnum Follow Di Arrow’ 2008 backed by the Ruff Cut and Kaution bands while GT’s Aggregation along with Sound Wave and Rock Away Movement will be juggling.
